Sharing Wheels offers bike classes open to the public. The goal is to give people the skills to work on their own bikes – as well as to train future volunteers who can help in the shop.

Roadside Repair Class
6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 18, Oct. 9, Nov. 13
If you want to be able to fix common issues faced when riding a bike, this one-night class is for you! Learn how to fix flats, adjust gears and tighten your brakes. This class is a crash course in the basics of keeping your bike rolling.
Students must register and pay by the Saturday before each class.
Registering for Classes
Call first to make sure we have a spot. Your place is not guaranteed until we receive payment. You can send a check via “snail mail” to our street address, use our PayPal donation account (write “class” in the “special instructions” section), or come by during open hours with cash, credit or check.
Advanced Bike Mechanics
This class is for those who want to get into the heart and soul of their bike. Learn the terms for parts of the bike and how to evaluate their condition. Learn about the bearing systems and how to overhaul them. Demystify the cable systems and get your machine running smoothly. Over the course of the class you will complete a full overhaul and tune on your bicycle (A $120 value).
We have a limit of 6 spots per class so sign up early and tell your friends!
Bring your own bike or use one of ours. All tools are provided.
Cost: $100 (plus parts if needed). Must be prepaid to secure spot in class. No refunds if participant cancels less than 7 days prior to first class.
