Now Hiring Digital Marketer

Do you know what SEO stands for? Do you like planning photos and posts that get attention – and make a difference? Do you know a thing about bikes and bike parts?

Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop is looking for a part-time Digital Marketer to improve our online presence. We are a busy and established nonprofit in Everett, Wash. We need more (local) customers to buy our cool old and specialty bikes.

The Digital Marketer is responsible for managing all of our social media accounts and online sales channels. The Digital Marketer will work closely with the Executive Director, Shop Coordinator and Volunteers to develop an online marketing strategy that serves to improve our online visibility, increase sales and widen our customer base. 

Candidates must be extremely efficient with their time and able to work independently.

Digital Marketer Job Description

The Digital Marketer is responsible for managing all of our social media accounts and online sales channels. The Digital Marketer will work closely with the Executive Director, Shop Coordinator and Volunteers to develop an online marketing strategy that serves to improve our online visibility, increase sales and widen our customer base. 

Candidates must be extremely efficient with their time and able to work independently.

Hours: Part-time, 5-15 hours per week (Flexible days/times)

Pay: $17-$20 DOE

Reports to: Executive Director

Required qualifications:

  • Experience with Facebook and Instagram for the purpose of increasing our visibility and engaging potential customers. 
  • The ability to expand our online presence by bringing fresh and creative ideas through high quality product photos and original content descriptions. 
  • Experience (or willingness to learn) with online sales platforms including Square and WordPress
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of relevant content and social media platforms
  • Thorough understanding of bicycle terminology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to mentor volunteers to assists with tasks

 Essential Functions

Create and post our social media content on social channels including FB, IG and the Sharing Wheels website. Manage and optimize our online sales presence. While cycling experience is not required you will need to know bicycle and bicycle parts terminology to best communicate our products. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and Support online sales (50%)
  • Research/Identify appropriate onlines sales channels that best meet our needs.
  • Manage and maintain a strong online shop sales presence (with photos and original product descriptions) through ecommerce sites (Square, eBay, Pinkbike, Craigslist) and our website
  • Respond to online questions and concerns
  • Ensure ecommerce shipping duties are fulfilled in timely manner
  • Work closely with shop coordinator to update listings as needed
  • Recruit and manage volunteers to support tasks
  1. Manage OnLine Presence (50%)
  • Create an online communication plan (media calendar) consistent with the overall strategy and goals of the organization. 
  • Develop, create and manage online content for FB/IG channels and execute organization’s social media strategy
  • Increase traffic to organization’s social media platforms
  • Use a range of digital marketing tools to measure success of marketing campaigns
  • Monitor the organization’s social footprint and respond to queries and reviews as needed
