Bike Classes

All in-person bike repair & maintenance classes are at the shop, 2531 Broadway Ave., Everett, WA 98201. Advanced registration is required. Any bike repair & maintenance classes may be canceled if not enough people sign up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Registered students may request a refund or wait for classes to be rescheduled – No refunds if participant cancels less than 7 days prior to first class.

Basic Bike Repair & Maintenance

6 – 9 P.M. Wednesday – Dec 13

Learn the basics of bike repair every bike owner should know. This 3-hour class includes: how to fix a flat, chain care, adjusting gears and brakes, and identifying when to take your bike into a bike shop. This class will keep your bike rolling, making your riding more enjoyable. 

It’s best to bring your own bike to learn on in this hands-on class (our classic bikes are also available for practice).

Cost: $35. Register below. 

Class Size: Limited to 4 students. Minimum 2 students.

If class minimum is not met, class will be rescheduled. See Cancellation Policy below.

Winter Bike Tune Up Class

6 – 9 P.M. Wednesday – Dec 6 (1 slot open) or Dec 20

Are you ready for the wet and cold PNW cycling downtime ahead? Now is a great time to refresh your bike by re cabling it and installing new bar tape. There is nothing easier to make your bike shift and feel like new again. Our new advanced Winter Tune Up class can help refresh your bike so it will be ready to roll on the next sunny day.

During this 3-hour, semi private (2 students max) class you will learn to replace the brake and derailleur housing and cables, reset and tune the brakes and derailleurs and re-tape the handlebars. In addition, we will show you how to perform a bike inspection including frame, fork, tires and wheels.

Cost: $55 (plus cost of parts or bring your own). Register below.

Fix A Flat Class

Noon-1 P.M. Second Sundays

Tired of paying a bike shop to fix your flat? Don’t let a punctured tire prevent you from enjoying your bike rides. For less than an hour plus an optional donation, we will teach you all you need to know to fix a flat, plus answer other basic maintenance questions.

Cost: $10 suggested donation.

Bike Buying Tips: Fit, Style, Price

Thinking of buying a used bike (or repairing the one you have)? There are a lot of choices out there! Learn how to pick a bike that fits you – your size, style, and riding preferences. We’ll also cover how to assess a used bike for value and price.

Classes will be in-person at the shop. You may attend via Zoom, but will miss out on the hands-on portion of class.

Cost: Free. Suggested donation $10.

Bearings: Keep ’em rolling and turning!

In this 2-hour class you will learn how to check all the bearings on your bicycle to ensure a smooth ride. Why work harder than you have to? We will teach you how to easily adjust or replace your bearings.

Cost: $35. Register below.

Advanced Bike Mechanics

Four-Session Class

This 2 to 4-part class is for those who want to get into the heart and soul of their bike. Learn the terms for parts of the bike and how to evaluate their condition. Learn about the bearing systems and how to overhaul them. Demystify the cable systems and get your machine running smoothly. Over the course of two to four classes (depending how deep you want to go) you will complete a full overhaul and tune on your bicycle. Bring your own bike or use one of ours.

Cost: $120 (plus parts if needed)

Class Size: Limited to 3 students

Class Cancellation, Refund Policy

Refund Policy: Registered students may request a refund provided you notify us at least 1 week prior to the start of class.

You can transfer a registration to a later date (ore request a refund) if a class is canceled or rescheduled.
