Fix a Bike, Light a Smile! Kids Bike Work Parties Are Back This Fall!
Over the past 20 years, Sharing Wheels has given more than 1,700 bikes to low-income kids for the holidays. Kids bikes are donated by the community, repaired by our volunteers, and gifted to low-income families through Christmas House and other local nonprofits.
Fix a Bike, Light a Smile! Kids Bike Work Parties 2026 details:
- Dates: Tuesday, October 6 to Thursday, December 3
- Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays (except Thanksgiving Day)
- All work party times: 6pm to 9pm
- Location: Sharing Wheels Shop (2531 Broadway Ave.)
Group Work Parties

If you are part of a bike club or service group that would like to work on kid bikes together, you can schedule your own work party. We’ll have an experienced staff member or volunteer on hand to help you fix bikes and make a difference. Email shopmanager@sharingwheels.org to schedule.
Bikes for Summer Fun

Every spring our volunteers refurbish donated kid bikes for low-income families. Bikes are donated to partner nonprofits including Washington Kids in Transition, Immigrant and Refugee Services NW, Domestic Violence Services, Everett Housing Authority, and Dawson Place.
Support the Kids Bike Program
We put about $25 in new parts on each bike to make it safe and shiny for the kids. We also make sure a helmet goes with every bike. You can make a financial donation to support kids’ bikes for low-income families in our community!
